V-Day Akron is a unique community collaboration of artists, educators and activists working as part of a worldwide campaign to stop violence against women and girls. Since 2001 QBP's V-Day Akron has raised nearly $50,000 for local rape crisis programs and V-Day Spotlight initiatives garnering a 2002 Community Collaborations Award from the Summit County Housing Network and an honorable mention in Northern Ohio Live's 2003 Awards of Achievement.

Over 60 activists, community leaders and organizations participated. We reached over 1 million people with the message that violence against women and girls MUST end!
